We are excited to share that our project at Spaces of Opportunity received the North American Agrivoltaics Award for Solar Farm of the Year. An award co- sponsored by the U.S Department of Energy National Renewable Laboratory. Competing against leading university farms nationwide, this recognition highlights the impact of the largest youth-led agrivoltaics campaign in the country.
Through Growing Green and the support of more than 21 community partners, we have transformed this initiative from infrastructure into a campaign centered on education, research, and community engagement. This project shows the potential of agrivoltaics in an urban environment, where renewable energy, food production, and community resilience work hand in hand.
