Growing green has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture's Land Research Center at the Spaces of Opportunity project. Collecting plant data in temperatures exceeding 105°F, analyzing it, and working on a scientific paper and a poster to present at conferences. We collected data on 120 peeper plants so far and we found that those growing under the panels through the months of April 2024-September 2024 yielded 4.5 times more than the control plot. It’s important for Growing Green to advance Agrivoltaics in Arizona by providing farmers with data collected in their geographical region.
